Random Thoughts
It's been a long time coming, but I've finally taken the time, and perhaps more to the point, devoted the attention, to updating the ol' website. Along with it, I'm initiating a blog of sorts called Random Thoughts. It promises to be just that.
We'll kick things off with a photograph.
A few years back I had the occasion to find myself wandering around the inside and outside of the infamous Harrisburg Incinerator, filming and taking photographs. The Incinerator stands as a true monument to consumerism: acres of concrete and mechanisms devoted to dealing with what to do with all that *stuff* that we find no longer necessary, but that we want hidden tidily away - out of sight and out of mind.
The irony, of course, is that rather than creating a steam-generating cash cow, Our city leaders created a financial albatross, all fueled by greed.
So it was, that after a long very hot day, trudging through an interesting but rather horrible space by anyone's measure, that I stumbled upon old "jersey barriers" dumped on the grounds.
Through the concrete slab a single plant found life.
