Recently, 77 percent of  the residents of Montgomery County, in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA, voted to support the Montgomery County Open Space Referendum, providing a $150 million bond issue, preserving farmland and creating parks and open public spaces.  A TV Campaign produced spearheaded this bi-partisan effort to revitalize local communities and preserve the areas's undeveloped land. It is seen as one of the most successful open space efforts in the nation. This campaign was just awarded a Crystal Communicator Award, an international award for excellence.
